RAYNET communications can be useful for Emergencies, for Exercises (in preparation for real emergencies) and for Events such as fun-runs, fell races and motor rallies. |

The original purpose of RAYNET was to provide communications in Emergencies, but this has been broadened and Events are now the most common operations. RAYNET members provide these services in their own time without charge.
